BuddyBug is for parents, guardians, and family adults who want a calmer bedtime reading experience for children. Children must not create accounts, enter payment details, or use BuddyBug without appropriate adult supervision.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18, you are responsible for the children whose profiles you create, and you have authority to provide the child profile information you enter.

BuddyBug is currently intended for families located in the United States. The service, pricing, product descriptions, privacy controls, and support experience are designed for a US marketplace.

If you access BuddyBug from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and that some features, rights, protections, pricing, taxes, or payment options may vary by location.

BuddyBug provides illustrated stories, narrated playback where available, child profiles, saved-library features, bedtime packs, reading progress, and story recommendations. Features may change as the product improves, and some features may remain experimental, limited, or unavailable from time to time.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably believe there is security risk, misuse, non-payment, unlawful activity, child-safety concern, or breach of these terms.

BuddyBug Premium is currently offered at $11.99 per month after a 7-day trial for eligible new customers. Payment details are collected through Stripe, and Stripe handles payment processing.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged at the then-current price. You can cancel through the billing flow where available or by contacting support.

Subscription access may end or be restricted if payment fails, a charge is disputed, a subscription is cancelled, or Stripe reports that the subscription is no longer active. Taxes, currency conversion, app-store fees, or bank charges may apply depending on your location and payment method.

You can cancel future renewals at any time. Refund rights depend on your location, consumer law, Stripe or payment platform rules, and the circumstances of the request.

BuddyBug is parent-directed. Parents and guardians create accounts, manage child profiles, choose whether to subscribe, and decide which stories are suitable for their family. Children under 13 must not create accounts, provide contact details, or make purchases through BuddyBug.

For United States families, BuddyBug treats child profile information in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). We collect child profile information only through the parent or guardian account holder, use it to provide the service, and give parents controls to access, update, export, or request deletion of child profile data.

BuddyBug does not sell children's personal information. Parents should avoid adding sensitive child details such as school names, home addresses, health information, or full legal names unless necessary for their own family use.

• Do not upload, request, or attempt to generate harmful, explicit, abusive, discriminatory, or unsafe content.
• Do not try to bypass age-aware filters, security controls, rate limits, or subscription controls.
• Do not copy, scrape, resell, or reverse engineer BuddyBug content or systems.

BuddyBug may use AI-supported tools and editorial workflows to create, adapt, recommend, or quality-check story content and illustrations. We aim for warm, age-aware, child-friendly content, but automated and editorial systems can make mistakes.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for deciding whether a story is suitable for their child. BuddyBug is not medical, therapeutic, educational, or safeguarding advice.

BuddyBug, its brand, software, designs, story catalogue, illustrations, audio, prompts, editorial systems, and generated content are owned by BuddyBug or its licensors unless stated otherwise.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial right to use BuddyBug for your family while your account is active and in good standing. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly exploit BuddyBug content without permission.

If you provide feedback, support messages, story preferences, profile details, or other content, you give BuddyBug permission to use that information to operate, improve, secure, and support the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but BuddyBug may be interrupted by maintenance, incidents, provider outages, experiments, or product changes. We may update features, prices, policies, and these terms. Material changes will be notified where required.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, BuddyBug is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and our liability should be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

These terms are written for a United States-focused service. They apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, without limiting consumer protection rules that cannot be waived.
